The Business Law Group caters to a broad range of business clients and individuals for all of their business related legal needs as well as transactional needs. The service includes business agreements of all types, commercial and residential real estate, commercial leasing, tax-related business matters, secured transactions, financings, buying or selling a business and corporate re-organizations.
The Civil and Commercial Litigation Group caters to all aspects of personal and business litigation, from personal injury to bankruptcy and insolvency matters before the commercial court. Our lawyers represent clients across the province and nationally at tribunals and at all levels of court, including the Federal Court of Canada, Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Our Family Law Group earns high praise from both our colleagues and the courts for the consistent quality of results we achieve on behalf of our clients. The diversity and depth of our lawyers enables us to effectively serve our clients in a wide variety of family law matters ranging from simple to complex. As members of a full service law firm, our Family Law Group can provide our clients with necessary related legal services, such as real estate transactions, wills and estate planning and commercial law. We offer mediation, arbitration and collaborative family law options in English and in French, in addition to family law litigation at all levels of court. Our lawyers are frequently sought-out speakers and authors and are well respected, active participants in Ontario’s family law bar.
The Wills, Trusts and Estates and Tax Law Groups assist clients with estate,and tax planning and litigation, estate administration, Powers of Attorney and Trustee matters.
The Citizenship and Immigration Group helps clients with all aspects of the Canadian immigration process, with emphasis on clients from Asia and cross-border transfers under the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
The Intellectual Property Group specializes in technology contracts, Trademark and Copyright registrations and enforcement of intellectual property rights before the Federal Court of Canada, including those under the Radiocommunication Act involving piracy of broadcast signals.
Our Mediation and Arbitration Group offers mediation and arbitration expertise across a broad range of practice areas, including Civil, Family and Estate matters as an alternative to litigation.
