Mr. Davis successfully upheld the interpretation of a lease agreement for the operation of a car dealership. The lease agreement specified that rent was in part to be determined based on a percentage of the dealership's gross income, excluding fleet sales. Challenging the landlord's claims to greater percentage rent and his contention that retail lease transactions were sales that fell within the definition of fleet sales, the original terms of the lease were determined by the court to be sound and the result was a multimillion dollar savings for Mr. Davis' client.
