Epstein Cole LLP is the leading and largest family law firm in Ontario, serving individuals in the midst of separation, divorce and those planning to get married where there is a need for definitive and sensitive legal advice on complex matrimonial matters, including spousal support, child support, parenting and property division.
Our approach is to meet our client's needs and objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner. We adhere to the highest of professional standards in our effort to meet our client's goals and obtain the most sensible and best possible result for individuals suffering through a difficult emotional period of time. Each client's matter is generally placed under the supervision of one senior lawyer. It is that lawyer's task to ensure that the client's individual needs are being met in a timely manner and to supervise the associate lawyer working with him or her. Our system of integrated teams, under leaders who ensure that each task is staffed at the appropriate level, avoids wasted efforts and excessive costs.
Founded in 1978, we have 22 lawyers with a total staff of 55 working in our office located in downtown Toronto.

Our lawyers are involved in cutting edge family law cases, including same sex issues, complex property and trust arrangements and custody and support claims. We are also recognized as experts in defending solicitor's negligence claims on behalf of lawPRO, the insurer for all lawyers in the province of Ontario.
Because our summer and articling students are potentially future associates and partners, we consider student recruitment to be a top priority. In selecting summer and articling students, we look for well-rounded individuals with strong academic credentials who show special interest in, and aptitude for, the practice of family law.
Although we are a mid-sized firm, we are proud to have maintained a small-firm atmosphere. Doors are always open, and everyone at the firm -- support staff and lawyers alike -- see themselves to be part of the same "team".
